day, spaced about twelve hours apart. It is also very important to remember to provide your dog

Chihuahuas can be prone to patellar luxation (slipping kneecaps), hypoglycemia (low blood sugar, especially as puppies), tracheal collapse, dental problems (due to crowded teeth), and hydrocephalus.
Grooming needs vary with coat type (long-haired vs. smooth-coat). Smooth-coat Chihuahuas require minimal brushing, while long-haired ones need more frequent brushing to prevent tangles. All Chihuahuas need regular nail trims, ear cleaning, and dental care.
Chihuahua puppies require high-quality, small-breed puppy food. Due to their fast metabolism and small size, feeding small, frequent meals is often recommended, especially for very young puppies, to help prevent hypoglycemia.
Chihuahuas are highly devoted and thrive on companionship. They can be prone to separation anxiety if left alone for extended periods. They do best in homes where they receive plenty of attention.
